When we come to grips with the fact that, without Christ we would perish forever,

and that it is only through God's love that we may have life with Him, it is only

natural that we would want others to know that kind of love. The heart and soul

of DUMC Missions is that all who fellowship at DUMC would know God and His

love being motivated to participate in reaching out to our neighbors, our nation

and our world with Jesus' love and the truth of His Gospel.
 

The Missions Team facilitates DUMC's mission outreach efforts through five goals:

 

1. Progress the cause of Christ.

2. Provide financial and volunteer support for local, regional and international organizations.

3. Increase congregational involvement in missions through improved communications.

4. Increase the impact of DUMC missions through strategies such as strengthening mission team training and partnering with other local mission minded organizations.

5. Increase DUMC mission giving to at least 10% or the church's total budget.
