At Daphne United Methodist Church we are engaged in various local, domestic, and international mission efforts. We believe Jesus' command to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19) can be carried out through caring for and meeting the needs of those burdened, marginalized, and impoverished (Matt 25:40). Our hope is that by extending a hand to those in need, they will come to know the wonderfully redemptive love and grace of God. If you would like to be a part of the Missions Committee, please contact DUMC@dumc.org. Throughout 2019, our Missions Committee will be discerning and exploring the unique opportunities God has presented for DUMC's engagement in local, community, and international missions. While many non-profits, parachurch organizations, and missionaries are deserving of support, we believe it best to focus on a few key ministries to maximize the use of our resources.

Currently, we ask you to consider partnering with us in giving support - through your prayers, presence, gifts, and service - to the following:
Every Sunday, our congregation is encouraged during greeting time to leave a dollar on the altar. These collected funds make an immediate impact in our community, often helping individuals make ends meet and providing an opportunity to see God through our acts as a church.
Family Promise of Baldwin County is a community response to the issue of homelessness in Baldwin County, specifically homeless families with children. They provide temporary shelter, related services and nurturing support to homeless families with children and to assist them with obtaining suitable and permanent housing. DUMC is a host church for Family Promise, and provides housing for one week at a time, various times of the year. You can help in various ways by providing food, staying the night to assist families with their needs, and financially giving to the organization. For more information please contact the church office.
Prodisee Pantry is a non-profit community emergency food and disaster relief organization. Families who are having trouble making ends meet are given food assistance and information from a caring listener about other programs that may help make their lives more stable. The Pantry provides food to single parents, homeless persons, retirees, families in transition, under-employed and unemployed households, grandparents raising grandchildren and others in need. For more information on how you can volunteer at Prodisee Pantry please visit their website at www.prodiseepantry.org.
The United Methodist Children's Home works to heal children, unite families, and change lives. They place children into safe and loving foster care homes while helping to restore family relationships; prepare young adults in the foster care system to make positive life decisions as they transition to independent adulthood; and strengthen and preserve families by providing housing and support to prevent homelessness.
