Thrive exists to grow disciples of Jesus Christ, who flourish in their faith, through love and encouragement.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another...
What is Thrive?
Thrive is an intentional gathering that seeks to encourage our love for God and our love for others. Thrive Groups function as spaces for our DUMC faith community to gather, pray, encourage and grow.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
How we Thrive?
We believe that we Thrive by cultivating honest and earnest conversations which lead to a growing knowledge of Christ.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Why we Thrive?
We believe that community is essential to one's growth in Christ. Thrive seeks to offer that community in a way that builds unity.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
